Extremely slow play. Not the most challenging course. It's inexpensive so lot of people go there

Short by today's standards but has lots of challenging holes. No water at all. Historic course opened in 1910 as the original Virginia Country Club. Fairways and greens are in great condition. That's amazing considering how busy it is. I took one star away because as it gets over 120,000 rounds per year it can be a long day. Five-plus hour rounds are common. Lots of people trying to play who shouldn't be out there.

You are greeted by course staff are friendly and helpful. The course is well maintained, greens are quick, overall a fun challenging design.
