The food could be better, but very few places have made amounts of food and have it be tasty. Great people. Lots of families. Gotta get rid of the DJ they use ad nauseam . Could put together better events. Not a ton of participation.

Braemar Country Club, I also would not recommend anyone to consider membership, or doing business with this place.
We live nearby in Encino. In the past, our family (with 4 young kids) were social members at Braemar. One time I mailed my monthly dues check 10 days late, so they sent my account to a collections company! The club catered only to their core 80+ year old golfers. We quickly worked out that all their social events are attended by 70-80-year-old golfers only, and that there is an old, rude, nasty British lady Manager, that polices the club, and harasses the few new, younger families. No atmosphere, most new members cancel within their first year, place mostly deserted, 30% hidden fees on holding an event. Fast forward to Summer 2017 – I came to the pool twice as a guest, to re-evaluate the club. I was amazed to see the same abrasive British lady policing the area, inspecting everyone like an old head-mistress (and she works in membership?). Apparently, Braemar is on their third General Manager in three years (the new one Wingo, was promoted from a job in the restaurant?), large padlocks on the locked deserted basketball court, rude/condescending managers, no towels, filthy changing rooms. Most people I chatted with, told me they plan to cancel their new membership at the end of summer. Seems like nothing has changed. Braemar Country Club is a strange place, that simply cannot (or does not care to) get its act together. I gather their business relies on one-off events and charity golf tournaments, rather than local community membership.

I will not recommend anyone to consider membership or doing business with this place. I am a local resident and join the club, signed their contract in good faith. For months and months there were fraudulant activities on our membership, charges on our statement, occured NOT by us. Our membership and information was used by a third party! the club was not only the least helpful taking action to correct it, the manager, Wingo was extremely rude. We had no choice but to resign, they are still pusuing their charges. I spoke to a few others in the same situation. Please be careful , there are other negative comments about how this club handles their fees and charges....please read and take them in consideration before joining.... protect your identity . . I don't wish any of our neighbors to be in this situation. it's typical that this comment will be followed by all star positive comments... again be careful.
