Marriott's Manhattan Beach Par 3 Ratings & Reviews
22 days ago
As of Christmas 2017, this property is in the middle of a complete renovation and change to a different Marriott brand. As a result the lobby and most of the common areas are not accessible, the extent of which was unfortunately not highlighted on the Marriott website. Given the amount of renovation on going, the hotel is doing an admiral job still providing amenities, however the executive Lounge for example is in a tent in the parking lot, and there are no restaurants or bars or any other common area amenities you normally expect. Again, this is a temporary situation but it would have been nice to have had more of a heads up on this.

I stayed at this Marriott due to gorgeous pictures on an outdoor pool with cabanas, there was none provided, yet I'd prepaid online. The Marriott washes their hands clean of the false advertising, claiming it's their 3rd party business partner, Priceline, at fault. I disagree: it's the Marriott's responsibility not to false advertise. Very shady for such a nice hotel to resort to such crooked means of acquiring hotel guests. If your hotel is under construction - be transparent about it.

DO NOT stay here during renovation. There was NO advance warning on their website or confirmation when booking. There is STILL no mention of the all-encompassing construction on the website. Hammering, drilling noises began as early as 7:20 in the morning. The "restaurant" has been relocated outside in the parking lot and cleverly-branded "The Tent", where there is NO heat, btw. NO pool, NO fitness center, NO lobby, and lastly, NO reduction in rates for this already-expensive property.
Overall, a poorly-executed effort and a shameful example of what will likely be in store as the new owners will most likely raise the rates once this effort is completed in the spring.
