Emerald Isle Executive Golf Course and Driving Range Ratings & Reviews
about 1 month ago
I went to Emerald Isle on a Friday afternoon. The course is definitely good for beginners and even those who are on the intermediate level as most of the holes are Par 3 and only require drivers. However, aside from the greens, the tee boxes, fairways, and roughs did not seem well-maintained as evidenced by the abundance of patches of dead grass and weeds. This is then reflected by lack of adherence to a proper golf etiquette in regards to uniform. There were quite a bit of people who wore clothing such as t-shirts, jerseys, jeans, and hats with brims pointing backwards. This is a clear indication that this is not your top notch golf course. However, what keeps Emerald Isle at a decent three-star rating is their beyond friendly staff and reasonable green fees.

A couple of the greens are severely sloped to the point of being comical. Well maintained overall, save for a few uneven tee boxes. Friendly staff who will deliver food to you while on course, if you choose.
Fun to walk. Good exercise too, as there are a few steep hills, but the executive length prevents fatigue. One restroom on course, at the 11th hole.
Something about this course makes you want to keep coming back, in an attempt to conquer it. It is a legitimate challenge, and when you are finished, you feel as if you have definitely played a full round of golf, in spite of par being 56.

What a great view! I can only imagine golfing and seeing this at the end of the day! This view is driving down el Camino right before the 76. Thesunsets are nice to watch from there.
