The Westin Mission Hills is home to two highly-regarded and challenging championship golf courses. Located directly behind the impressive resort hotel, the Pete Dye course, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a fraction shorter than the Gary Player (located a mile away), but is no less demanding for that.

Course was being cut/reseeded: piles of dry grass in long strips, no ball roll-out, machines all over the place, yet no discounted rate.
And Pete Dye courses are crazy! Tall ridges, deep valleys, unseen bunkers. Just not friendly.
Half the course is blind. No course maps available. 90% risk, 10% reward. Very unforgiving.
If your HC is over 10, golf elsewhere! Plenty here to choose from.

Very enjoyable course. About half the staff are snooty.
