Nice course among big red rocks and water features. Membership required. I was participating in a tournament.

Perry Park is our family's sanctuary! We live in Castle Rock, have been members here for 6 years. We never tire of the scenic 20 minute drive to Perry Park. First the golf - nothing short of spectacular! Challenging greens that roll true. We are one of the first courses in the US to have robotic mowers - a sign of innovation! Our golf superintendent is one of the best. The course features tree-lined fairways and red rock formations that shoot up to the sky. It has a mountain course feel, and is similar to Arrowhead, but the course is better maintained and is less crowded. The course forces you to hit shots, use different clubs, and is challenging enough so you don't tire of playing there exclusively. Want to find time to play more golf? The pace of play is so refreshing...under 4 hours on weekend mornings. In the afternoon and evenings, we regularly play in 2.5-3 hours. As busy working executives, we find that we can easily fit golf into our daily lives. After suffering through long rounds at other nearby courses, we are truly spoiled. My husband and I joke that we can drive from Castle Rock to Perry Park, play golf and return home in less time than it would take to play Red Hawk or The Ridge. Down to Earth membership - This was our first country club experience and we were a bit nervous about joining a pretentious club with snobby members. We couldn't be happier here - the membership is down to earth, approachable and welcoming. Our new membership director has done a terrific job of matching new members with golf or social groups. There are groups for families, those who are retired, and those whose dream of retirement isn't far off. It is so easy for new members to assimilate. Family activities - We have twin daughters (age 10) and they have been playing golf since they were 5. We turned our hobby into a family activity. We play 9 holes in the evenings and dine in the club for dinner. The kids replace their electronics for family time in the golf cart and watching all the deer, fox, geese, ducks, beavers, frogs...and yes, perhaps a bear! The club holds movie nights, fishing in the lake, and a formal junior golf program. Dining - Our 1890s manor house is getting a little facelift this year. I am thrilled to see the investments being made in our club. The renovation should be complete this spring and the expanded outdoor dining options with views of Lake Wauconda, and more modern interior will make this club more inviting to guests. Our new F&B Director and new Executive Chef have done a great job understanding our membership's dining needs. I recently attended a 5 course wine pairing dinner. Perfect for special occasions or even a burger and fries. They do it right! Please come and see our hidden gem! Our membership director offers a "get acquainted day" so you can see our clubhouse, and our course. We welcome new members and would love to have you as our guest.

My wife and I joined Perry Park Country Club 1.5 years ago and are so happy we did! The golf course is very challenging and has the most scenic views on so many of the holes :) But! What REALLY makes Perry Park such a wonderful club is the membership. We have met so many wonderful human beings that are kind, funny, interesting and so unpretentious. We look forward to going to the club, whether it is to play golf or just have a drink and/or dinner. And some exciting news! Membership just voted in for a new remodel and expansion of the dining area and outside deck. GREAT things are happening here!!! We look forward to many years of golf and friendships at this "gem of a club"!
