Very hard to beat....The staff was very cordial. The tee time was precisely on time. The starter was great and also cordial. The golf course was in excellent condition...The fairways were plush as were the greens...The starter was also the ranger and he did check the pace of play in a most respectful way. We were just very favorably impressed with this Country Club and it's golf course. Have belonged to Heathrow, Marsh Creek, and Wolf Laurel and this will compare favorably with any or them...

Great golf course with an excellent layout. A lot of times people think golf is about bombing drivers but really it’s about managing your way around the course. RedTail makes you think your way around the course to stay out of trouble. If you start over thinking the course, beware of some lost golf balls. Highly recommend this course to everyone.

Very disappointing experience. Normally I wouldn't have been so harsh with the one star rating so let me explain. Had some friends in town from up north and we often take turns paying for each others rounds, as many golfing buddies do. I couldn't remember who's turn it was so when I arrived before them I just went ahead and paid for myself, thinking the course can issue me a refund and put the round on one card when the time came. Well when my group arrived and the round was kindly offered by another member of the group the women in the pro-shop gave a very abrupt "No I can't do that" when asking for a refund so we could put the round on one card. Ridiculous but I'll leave it there. Second. I had purchased a bag of range balls when I had originally paid and at this time I had about 25 minutes until tee time. Being that I had never been to Redtail before I decided to wait for my group before driving off to the range. Well our tee-time got close and during the same interchange as the whole who's paying for the round with the women in the pro-shop she very rudely told me I couldn't get a refund for the range balls. Which by the way are the worst range balls I've ever seen. Public municipal courses have nicer. Redtail is clearly striving for an "upscale" feel - they'll never achieve that with the quality range balls they provide. Now onto the course. There was no starter....and only one person in the cart area and given the fact that I was told I didn't need a receipt to give to the starter "unless I wanted one" I could have easily grabbed a cart and played a free round of golf. So regardless of the lack of starter we tee'd off on time, just in front about 3-4 groups of members, who felt the freedom (because of the lack of starter) to immediately play into us. As we continued along I noticed trash on almost every hole. Candy bar wrappers, plastic cups tops and straws you name it. I've honestly never seen so much trash on a golf course before. This has become a novel so I'll wrap it up. We didn't see a drink cart until we were on the 14th hole. All of the bathrooms we came across on the course were locked and had electronic keypads on them. Overall just a miserable experience. Nothing about the course shouts upscale or justifies the green fees you pay. Just be aware if you look to play Redtail as I learned my lesson and won't be going back.
