Cypress Challenge Course at Cypress Green Golf Course Ratings & Reviews

Very nice club, if only....
It would be more than a two star establishment if its maintenance staff would clean the pool and spa sidewalls, remove the debris (ex. Candy wrappers) from the lava rock placed over the crushed rock, remove the hornet nests scattered throughout the higher walls, pressure wash the black mold off of the building ‘s molding poolside where everyone notices, and finally, remove the bird’s nest embedded between the downspouts (2) and corner wall. I also heard that the carpet where food is served is nasty dirty. Pride is reflected in the maintenance of a facility. This maintenance is ‘The Facility’, and not surrounding club owned and serviced areas. With the expensive golfing fees a bystander might feel money is best spent elsewhere, and there are plenty of golf courses in the area. The mandatory 17% gratuity keeps a bunch of us residents from eating or drinking there. Can you imagine the cost of a round of beers when all it takes is pouring them with little else involved? Maybe it is OK to have that cost structure if the facility were a ‘classy’ establishment (with good maintenance and upkeep). And this is all based on a handful of visits over the past three months.
I might add, for a fraction of the cost to residents, just up the street are a large quantity of clubs, pools, and really clean facilities at fraction of the cost (fees) per resident. Remarkable difference! Maybe if the residents knew where their fees where going (being accountable is an American value) since it is a Canadian owned company (I am told) it might go a long way to making the club more appreciated and seen as a community worthy asset, rather than a perceived drain.
For the moment, just my observations and opinions.

Ok so I'm a little biased because I live close and I play here almost as much as anywhere else. The course has done some renovations in a few of the fairways but thet still play nicely, the greens are semi fast but in good shape. The course has some great holes and nothing is cookie cutter so be prepared. I would advise some extra balls in your bag if you spray the ball. They have a nice clubhouse area and for the most part all of the staff are great and helpful. Overall I would recommend you bring a foursome there and play 18, then let me know what you think, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Stopped in for a little spa service since this facility covers Sun City residence who are members of the club. The ladies are all great, friendly and professional. The club is very clean and modern with all the amenities you should expect. Would return for these services again.
