Treasure Island Golf, Tennis & Recreation Center Ratings & Reviews

We visited while on vacation and called ahead for tee times and prices. When we got to the golf course we were told that we would not be able to go out because the was a league (of 4 people) playing the course. We were also told that you are not able to walk the course if you are not playing. I had to pay an extra $11 just to walk with my 14 year old who was golfing. They also charge extra for the use of a golf ball and tees. Rentals are in terrible shape as are the greens. The person at the counter was nice but admitted that she knew nothing about the golf side as she was a "tennis" player. It's very apparent that tennis reigns over golf at this place. I would not recommend going here if you are serious about golf. I would also recommend knowledgeable staff when giving out information over the phone.

The tennis courts are some of the best, well-maintained in Pinellas County, right along with the St. Petersburg Tennis Center. The courts drain very well after rain moves through the area. The front office staff is always polite, courteous, welcoming and accommodating. And, the prices are very reasonable, including the guest fee.
Unfortunately, the demographic tends to be significantly older and slower than me, which prevents me from joining. Always a nice place to play, as a guest, with friends. Also, the St. Petersburg College women's tennis team practices here, and they are always fun to watch (and/or hit with, if you are an advanced player).

Beautiful gold course and I highly recommend. I am president of Tampa Bay United FootGolf Club and this is my home course. Right on the water and a nice 9 hole course. For tournaments you play the 9 holes 2 times. I love this course over all I've been to in the east coast. On top they have tennis, playground for the kids and benches to soak up the view. 10/10 best course in Fl a quick round of FootGolf, golf, or tennis at a. Beautiful location!
