Wasioto Winds at Pine Mountain State Resort Park Ratings & Reviews
4 months ago
To be fair, this rating is based partly on my experience and partly on the quality of the course. First and foremost, the course was in decent shape and green were great. It had a few spots where that were water-logged but probably stayed that way because of limited time on the sun due to the mountain shade. Price was a tad high for a state park public course, but all things considered the view made up for it.
Now for the experience...play was slow. Really slow. Hardly anybody on the course and my foursome played behind another foursome that took almost 3 hours to play nine! When we made the turn, we just decided to play the front again rather than wait....bummer, but not the end of the world...until...
Mowing Maintenance crew did a pass by our cart mowing on hole #2 (second time around) and blew grass all our cart. Phone, drinks, etc covered in grass.
On hole #4 (second time around) after having gotten reasonably cooled off from being awash in grass, the cart started sounding/smelling funny. Opened up the seat and everything was drenched in oil because the oil cap blew off. Our other buddies went back to clubhouse to fetch another cart and have them tow ours back.
After that, we said the heck with it and hit the road...felt like we should have gotten a raincheck or refund, but no dice...
Outside of the issues mentioned above, not a total bomb of a day on the course, I'll probably be back and roll the dice again. :-)

Waited a long time to play this course - maybe a little too long. Really fun layout with tons of water, but coastlines are so overgrown that it takes away from the experience creating some blind shots. Still great value and worth the effort to make the drive

Did not golf but attended a wedding here. Beautiful area and backdrop.
