University: Great school. Amazing management and very friendly people. If you have it in you then getting a professor to fund you is not very hard. Lots of on-campus part time job opportunities.
Location: Though the scenic beauty is amazing and being a college town really has its perks when it comes to safety, life gets really really boring if you are not a fan of the snow or the cold.
Conclusion: If you like to study, have a peaceful environment and go to a club like once or twice per semester then this is the place!

Firstly, most of the professors are extremely nice and talented here. As one of my mentors told me, being a genius doesn't translate to being a good teacher. And then there are a few who just make our lives so difficult and behave in a way that they're more interested in seeing us fail rather than teach. Secondly, the grading system is SO difficult here that they expect as much as ivy league colleges expect out of a student. And each professor has their own scale for grading ( some might consider 93+ an A and some give that for 85+ . There's no university standard scale.) Moreover, the place it is located is so remote that all you can do is Netflix and chill & forget about going out for 5months a year (November - March). If I am given another chance, I won't chose to come here again. Big mistake choosing this over UNCC even with a 313 in gre. Trust me, if it isn't for the cheaper tuition fee, nobody in their right mind would have chosen this college and get stuck here. I honestly wish the university fixes its grading policy in a way that it focuses on awarding the students a fair grade rather than making it so hard that the majority of the students transfer out after being here for a while.

I am alumni from 2014, and I would like to say the school views undergrads as ATMs.
