Red Blue Course at Mistwood Golf Course Ratings & Reviews

I'll start with the positives- the fairways were in pretty good shape and the staff was very friendly. When we arrived, we were met in the parking lot by a polite young man who took our clubs to our carts.
Unfortunately, that's about where it ended:
The greens were horrendous! They were baked and lacked turf coverage on probably 75% of the ones we played. Where the greens weren't baked, there was moss growing on them. Many of the tee boxes (we played the tips) had similar issues; they were beat up as well.
When our round was complete at 6:00 p.m., we went in to get a soda at the snack shop (in the basement) and were told that it was already closed for the night and the bartender had no bottles of Powerade or soda available either.
Mistwood used to be one of my favorite destinations while visiting Northern Michigan; it was always affordable and in great shape. It's sad to see what has become of this once beautiful treasure.

I’ve played Mistwood 4-6 times each year. Unfortunately, the greens are the worst I’ve seen. We played the week of July 4th and never would have paid full price!! I understand the course lost power Memorial weekend which damaged their pumps but they should have some indication prior to paying of the greens condition. It will be a long time before I choose to play there again!!!

We just left after waiting for 10 minutes and having NO ONE wait on our table!
