The only reason I gave it one star is because the greens were very nice. This golf course is gone!! Bare patches, crab grass everywhere. They're going to start aerating the greens,on Monday. It hasn't rained on over a week and this course was a mud pit!! Worst of any Bergen County course!! Needs a ton of work, I hope it's better for next year.

Bergen County recently bought out this course which was formerly called Emerson Golf Course. Course opened in mid-July. I played on 8/25.
Most of the fairways are in very poor condition because of the rainy summer and poor drainage. On multiple holes I have had to move my mud ball to a more dry patch on the rough or fairway.
However, the county has put a lot of work into the greens which were quick, rolled true and generally in nice shape for a municipal course. The greens made the course playable. I probably won't be back this year but I look forward to returning next year after more improvements by the county.

Give this place a year or two if Bergen County invests in it and it will be a beautiful course. Right now water doesn't drain well from several holes and most of the rough is just weeds. It's still a fun course and has a pretty layout although only two holes with water.
