The Catskill golf resort's 18 hole lay out is one of the nicest in the twin county area. The pro and his staff are wonderful too. BUT the owner's decision to not cut the rough on the back 9 (and by rough, I mean the second cut) horrifically affects the playability of this course! Rough is up to 6 inches deep on all holes, and I believe he's trying to grow hay on # 12 and #14!
This greatly slows down a round of golf, there are more lost balls in the second cut, and it increases the chance of getting ticks on you... LYME DISEASE!!!
Buy a new rough mower, hire more people to cut the grass, weed eat, care for the bunkers, and fix the many water pipe leaks everyone sees.
The owner needs to return this course to the grandeur and quality it once knew and could have again!!!
