Pinecone Thistle Course at Resort at the Mountain Ratings & Reviews

Nice location, buildings and furnishings could use a little updating and modernization, but the rooms were clean and ours was quite spacious. Enjoyed the wood fireplace. Noise from people walking on the floor above us was undesirable, so you might bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Very nice heated pool and hot tub; when we were there some rowdy guests were making a lot of noise later at night, screaming and playing loud music; this had not been our experience there on a previous stay, and management was quick to intervene with the other patrons on our behalf, for which we were very grateful. We go to this place to get away and soak up the woodsy mountain atmosphere. We enjoyed breakfast at the Altitude restaurant. Our breakfast was not included with our room, but their breakfast prices were fair and portions ample. Service was pleasant and efficient, and they kept our coffee filled up and hot. We look forward to coming back here again and definitely would recommend it to others.

It was fine, not really our style but if you want a golf getaway it will likely for your needs. More choices of k-cups, a jetted tub, more comfortable seating near the fire, and late night room service are all things that would have elevated my review. Didn't feel like a 4-star resort to me, honestly. The people were all very nice and welcoming though!

Love the resort and golf course. Rooms need more attention to maintenance. Fridge and 2 lamps did not work. Had to skim the pool myself due to bugs and leaves and there were no pool towels for over 3 hours even after reporting, then were brought really small thin towels. Had to use 3 in place of one. All that being said we love the golf course and proximatey to Portland. Quick place to get away.
