The first course of the week I played the Dye course. The course was really wet but played nicely. Always love a good Pete Dye track and this one was fair but hard. The Dye course is separate of the other 3 and located in a different area of the resort, which I found out when arriving at the wrong clubhouse. Would be nice if they mentioned that online. The second course I played was the Love course. They have had tons of rain which made everything really wet. However, this course’s conditions were very poor. The greens were some of the worst I’ve ever played. I told the starter after they shouldn’t even allow players on the course in the current condition. Waste of money in my opinion. The Bag/cart guys were also rude in the morning. Dye was a way better track, layout, and service was awesome compared to the Love.

The Dye course is obviously a great design. The course itself was not in great shape. The greens were mostly sand. The bunkers had shells and stones in them. The fairways were in good shape considering all the rain in the area as of late. They were trying to play catch up on maintenance while we were on course and there was alot of disorganization. The club house and staff were great.

Course conditions were utterly terrible on the Love course. This is the first golf course I’ve ever reviewed because it was that terribly kept. Price is way too expensive for the course. Paid $90 to start driving to the first tee and have the starter stop our carts and slyly tell us how the greens have been sanded. The greens were in terrible shape and did not roll true at all. Some of the greens were so sanded and blotchy, it would have been better to chip over them or putt with a 3 wood. Course is also very short despite the distances the scorecard says. I normally hit driver 10 times in a round from the men’s regular tees and played all the way back and was only able to take driver 3 or 4 times due to the lack of space. Staff was decently nice, but I personally will never come back here to play ever again.
