An awesome course that I almost always seem to shoot a better round at. Not because the course is easier, I just seem to attack it knowing I cannot go after it lightly, or I will play horribly. You must attack this course and if you do, you will reap the benefits of a great day. I love the layout, rolling hills and fairways, water challenges and dog legs abound and the staff seem crazy friendly all the time. They have a nice practice range as well as nice putting and separate chipping area, which is even nicer. If the rough grass is high, you will need to focus on your ball more as the grass seems to eat balls lost into it so pay more attention. The course is a shot makers setup with some forgiveness. Enjoy the course from a person who loves this course and I really wish I live on it or closer to it to play more often than only once or twice a year.

I read recent reviews and almost didn't try this course but I was pleasantly surprised. I was lucky enough to head out very early and start around 7:40 am...the day was beautiful and the course was challenging yet not ridiculously hard. There are some beautiful holes on this course and I enjoyed the rolling hills on various holes. I will agree w some of the reviews that the tee boxes were a bit on the rough side on some holes but for late summer they weren't as bad as some have mentioned. Many of the fairways had some rough spots where water may have puddled and killed the grass but overall they were in decent shape. There are so many worse courses out there that aren't worth even $30 bucks to play but I would gladly play there again for the $50 I paid. I plan to go back very soon and play again. I also wanted to say there were a lot of grounds crew out working on the course and the traps etc. so that was nice to see...if the fairways were in a bit better shape and the tee boxes better I would rate it a 5 star course...I had a ton of fun and really enjoyed the layout...except for the 18th hole...that was a damn hard hole and I hit a killer drive and still had to be safe and layup...but it was a gorgeous hole to finish on...give it a try...I think you will enjoy it. Cheers!

I waffled between 1 and 2 stars. Pros: It's a nice layout and not too expensive, at least not on a Monday. Cons: We used to play here a lot but it had probably been 10 years since we last played because the course went downhill pretty badly from an upkeep standpoint. We tried it again today and not much has changed. The starter suggested the course is in the best shape it's been in in years. That's a little frightening, given the condition of the tee boxes (mostly dirt) and some of the greens (13 in particular is in bad shape, it has a "moat" of ground under repair around it which made chipping onto the green interesting). On top of the condition, a couple weird things that were off-putting. First, our threesome matched with a single and the starter insisted the single ride with us (rather than in his own cart, which he already had). In 30+ years of playing, I don't think I've ever seen that. The single was a nice guy but, what, were they short on carts on a Monday? Second, many of the pin placements were on spines of green tiers which made some of them just silly to putt to (18 was a good example today). Bottom line, we'd probably give it another 5 - 10 years before coming back to give it another try. There are plenty of better maintained courses in the area at a similar price point.
