Beginners...this is a great course to learn on! The fairways are mowed and wide open. It's hard to lose a disc here. The holes vary between 160-400 feet...five par 3s, four par 4s. Nice variety of dog-legs and strategically placed fir trees (to screw up your shot) Intermediate players will be challenged by the longer holes and the wind. This is a good course to hone your game... easy to par, hard to birdie. Advanced players, not much challenge here (unless you try to birdie each hole...)

Interesting little nine-hole disc golf course opened by Pacific Lutheran University a couple years ago on part of what had been the PLU golf course. Well-maintained and fairways mown by PLU's Facilities staff. Very open and a little short, but some tricky basket placements take advantage of existing golf course fairways and trees. Artificial turf tee-pads are too short for a full run-up but a few have added toe-boards defining a parallel dirt run-up. Mostly flat but watch out for the par 3 #7 (only 250 feet but you're throwing out of a hole, over a ridge, then under the branches of a tall fir). Openness and lack of distance make it good for beginners but intermediate/advanced players can appreciate the shot shaping needed to consistently Birdie some of the tucked away baskets. Also good for practice...if it's not busy, allowing the equivalent of field work on the long, broad 3rd and 6th hole fairways. I understand they are considering adding another nine holes. I hope so... there's plenty of room, and good terrain/trees to add a longer back nine more challenging to advanced players (i.e...look left off the ninth tee pad down the well-defined corridor of an old narrow golf fairway). Note: course is on the PLU campus and a sign at the first tee reminds you the entire campus is non-smoking. Public parking near the first tee is mostly non-existent. You can get a visitor parking pass from Campus Safety, or do as the locals and use plentiful street parking at the southeast corner of the course (go through the open public gate, and start your round on 4 or 5). Happy Dolfing!

One of the only local courses for a few miles radius, on PLU campus South, 9-hole beginner-level course, mostly open with tree hazards occasionally, East and South perimeter out-of-bounds requires going around a fence, end of course leads to a small trail system.
