Links Course at Lawsonia Golf Course Ratings & Reviews

Great courses, great experience, great value.
The Golf Courses of Lawsonia offers two distinctively deferent courses The Woods and The Links.
The Links is ranked within the Top 100 courses in the nation offering open and firm fairways and quick greens. This course was much better maintained which is why it’s a Top 100 course.
Whereas The Woods course has tighter tree lines fairways and a few nice views. It reminded me of up north golf in Minnesota. This course has a few burn spots around the course in the fairways but overall was very good.

Course was great, played on a crowded Saturday. Range space is limited but still decent to warm up. Staff was great, very attentive and helpful since we had never been there before and didn't know our way around. Played the Woodlands, will certainly come back to play the Links as that looks better maintained and harder course as well. The only reason i'd knock a star off (maybe only 1/2 star if i could) would be because the pace of play got to be a bit slow on the back 9. After hole 13 and several holes waiting with 1-2 other groups on tees, finally the ranger came out and kicked a group off a few hole ahead of us, which helped everyone get going again. Still played in 4:40, which on a Saturday at noon in June, is acceptable I guess - 2:00 on the front was great, 2:40 on the back was borderline on being a little unacceptable at a place with this type of reputation - but again, the ranger "asked that group to play golf elsewhere" which was awesome.

The Links is one of the true gems of American golf, superb layout with excellent restoration work by Ron Forse and Jim Nagel. A true must play.
